17³Ô¹ÏÍø assists veterans and their families in their transition to employment through career fairs that posts help sponsor or are present at. 17³Ô¹ÏÍø wants to ensure that veterans and their families receive opportunities for career success once they transition out of the military.
17³Ô¹ÏÍø’s annual Consolidated Post Report (CPR) captures how posts support veteran careers, even though only 7,920 of the 11,592 American Legion posts submitted a 2025-2026 CPR for a 68% completion rate.
Highlights from the recent CPR show:
- 2,889 veteran career fairs
- 1,656 veterans placed in employment
- 312 promoted Employer of the Year program
- 48 submitted Employer of the Disabled Award
- 47 submitted Employer of Older Workers award
- 83 presented award to local Veterans Employment Representative
- 97 presented award to Disabled Veterans Outreach Program
