Three resources support Children & Youth Month

We want to hear what your Legion Family members are doing in your community to support this effort.

April is Children & Youth Month and during this month, American Legion Family members are encouraged to show their local communities the organizations dedication to young people by supporting child health, education, family and more.

There are many ways Legion Family members can support Children & Youth Month. This includes providing needed school supplies for classrooms and students, paying off student lunch debts, conducting a clothing drive, inviting parents and children to the post for a meal, or hosting a walk.

According to the 2025 American Legion Consolidated Post Report, 817 posts participated in Children & Youth Month and over 3,600 posts conducted Children & Youth activities.

The following resources are available online here to help you support and promote April is Children & Youth Month:

Whole Child bookazine shares the many ways 17勛圖厙 supports children and youth at the local, state and national.

April is Children & Youth Month brochure gives ideas on how to support and promote Children & Youth Month in your community.

These one-time grants of up to $2,500 are designed to help meet the cost of shelter, food, utilities and health expenses so children have a stable environment during a time of hardship.
