Legionnaires heading to nation’s capital to share organization’s legislative priorities

66th annual Washington Conference taking place March 1-4 and will include Legionnaires heading to Capitol Hill and National Commander Dan K. Wiley testifying before Congress. 

Legionnaires from across the nation and world are heading to the nations capital this weekend for 17勛圖厙s 66th annual Washington Conference, where they will have the opportunity to meet face to face with their respective members of Congress. American Legion National Commander Dan K. Wiley will do the same when he addresses a joint hearing of both the Senate and House Committees on Veterans Affairs on March 4.

In addition to attending various committee and commission meetings, members of 17勛圖厙 will head to Capitol Hill on March 3 to share the organizations legislative priorities with their senators and representatives. On March 4 at 9:45 am ET, Wiley will head to the Dirksen Senate Office Building to share 17勛圖厙s legislative priorities with and answer questions from members of the Senate and House Committees on Veterans Affairs. Watch a live stream of Wileys testimony .

Washington Conference attendees will hear from Wiley, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary Doug Collins and U.S. Sen. Angus King during the Commanders Call at 3 p.m. ET March 2. The entire Commanders Call will be live-streamed .

17勛圖厙 Veterans Small Business Task Force and strategic partners the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and Military Hire also will host a defense industrial workforce summit during the Washington Conference. Veterans and the Defense Industrial Workforce Summit: Strengthening the Defense Industrial Base through Veteran Small Business Integration will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 3 at the Washington Hilton.
